mother of 3 asked: My husband and I are 30 and 31 and have 3 kids. We’ve owned our home for 7 yrs and owe 65K plus a 40K equity line. We have no other debt except our 2 car loans. Our house is now worth at least 130K as is. We are having plans drawn up to add a second floor with our own money but would like to know the best place to get a construction/permanent financing loan for the addition. Our credit scores are 787 and 740 and my husband makes 65K a year and I make about 30K working from home. I’ve heard some online banks have great rates or would it be better to go with our mortage co. (WAMU) or the credit union we have our 2 car loans and equity line from? **Plus, my husband is a General Contractor and will be doing most of the work himself. Will that affect the payouts? Thanks!

wsdmskr825 asked: I have some money put away in a CD and would like to take a small loan ($1,000) against it from the same bank. Can I negotiate the financing rate with them the same way I could with a car dealer?

jbarucca asked: I need to find a resource for licensing, laws, and any other steps necessary to start a financing company. I want to be the company that loans money to companies and individuals for purchasing commercial vehicles.
I am using some of my money and some that is borrowed at a lower rate. I have a used Truck (Big Rig) dealership with plenty of inventory. Our customers currently use a finance company that charges over 32% in some cases.

gpapayia asked: I imagine if the financing is structured as a convertible loan, then the money is added as a liability. But if the investment is in return for common shares, how is the transaction recorded?

Georgia_Rulex91 asked: After the completion of Fafsa and such, I only need $11,000 or so to pay for my upcoming freshmen year of college tuition. My parents are unwilling to sign loans for me to go and I can’t guarantee that the private scholarships I’ve applied for will be enough to cover the remaining costs. Is there anyway at only 17 I can get loans myself or come up with the money before my freshmen year begins in august. Please help.

river85715 asked: My student loans are through NelNet and I received a letter from NelNet instructing me to stop making payments. The reason they give is that my student loan account has been paid by a claim and now has a zero balance. I have had student loans since 1995; but I also have filed bankruptcy. What does all this mean? What claim paid my loans off? Did I or someone else get sued for the money?
