decided to comment on how the ‘american christianity’ does outreach which requires financing, programs, committees such. But when we look at the bible what Jesus, His disciples the NT believers did, its very different. when I started to make this, it was going to be just one video, but then more and more stuff came to mind. Tithing = Legalistic commitment aka giving out of obligation or duty.
Giving as Jesus intended = unfetered
It’s a dead ringer parallel to what Paul preached about preaching the Gospel (1 Corinthians 9:16-18)

yes I have but there are no NT scriptures to support such a saying – rather we see “give as you see need” “not under compulsion”, etc. IOW individual giving that He puts on our heart, not a percentage commanded by others.
Jesus said to the rich young ruler in Matt19:21 “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions GIVE to the poor, you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
No mention of tithing, training wheels, etc.

The beginning of no money time talent possessions now what when where was scared was scared was in my wallet.
