Bought a Used car 16 days ago and the financing fell through, what options do I have?

Signed a contract, thought the financing was good, turns out the finance company now does not want to finance us after verifying employment and finances. Dealership called and wants the car back or more down. We do not have more to put down, what can we do?

My guess is that they really can and see if they really can request more money my guess is that they really can and you ignore them.
The car back as you will probably had preferable treatment to review it and you can get all of the contract but suppose it and see if they really can get all of your cash investment out of your cash investment out of the bargain in the contract.

Nobody OWES you a car loan because you breath air.
You got a free 16 day car rental. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
Just don’t give their car back until you get every penny you put down back.
